About The Role
DescriptionIdaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for a Central Service Technician to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY: The surgical services technician ensures that all members of the surgical team have the appropriate supplies and instruments to perform scheduled surgical services. They work in sterile processing performing duties including cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, and storing the supplies, instruments and equipment. Facilitates and demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors at all times.

Supply Technician Functions
Surgical case picking
Inventory management
Stocking OR, PACU, Pre-Op, Anesthesia
Receiving and ordering supplies
Preference cards
Expiration checking
Charging and wasting supplies
Sterile Processing Functions
Decontamination
Instrument inspection
Tray assembly
Sterilization
Biological monitoring
Equipment processing
Sterile storage
Instrument inventory maintenance
General Responsibilities
Communication
Policy compliance
Safety
Infection prevention
Inventory accuracy
Other duties as assigned

QualificationsEducation/Certification: High School graduate or equivalent. Associates degree in healthcare science preferred.
Experience: Experience in instrument processing functions preferred or supply chain management.
