JOB SUMMARY

The Cycle Count Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the cycle counting team to ensure accurate inventory records. This role involves leading cycle count operations, managing inventory discrepancies, training and supervising team members, and ensuring adherence to inventory control procedures. The Cycle Count Lead plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting overall warehouse efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required)

  • Reviewing and analyzing inventory discrepancies, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions to resolve issues.
  • Training and mentoring team members on cycle count procedures, best practices, and the use of inventory management systems.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures during cycle count activities.
  • Utilizing inventory management software to record counts, track discrepancies, and generate reports.
  • Conducting regular audits and assessments of cycle count processes to identify areas for improvement and optimize accuracy.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as receiving, shipping, and replenishment, to address inventory-related issues and support overall warehouse operations.
  • Ensuring that inventory records are up-to-date and reflecting the actual stock levels.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED preferred.

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, cycle counting procedures, and warehouse operations.

Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions to inventory discrepancies.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing inventory counts and maintaining records.

Ability to train and motivate team members, manage time effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work environment includes a warehouse setting with moderate noise levels and varying temperatures.
  • Safety equipment, such as gloves and hearing protection, may be required.

WORK HOURS

  • Full-Time, Monday- Friday: 2:00PM-10:30PM
  • Overtime and weekend work may be requested during busy periods.

DRESS CODE

  • Dress appropriate.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required.
