Job Description & Summary: PwC India is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Freshers to join as Data Science Associates. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and apply data science techniques to solve real-world business problems, support data-driven decision-making, and contribute to analytics projects across various enterprise functions. Candidates will get exposure to statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization under the guidance of experienced professionals. Job Position Title: IN_Associate_Data Science_D&A_Advisory_PAN India Responsibilities: Support the design, development, and implementation of data science models and analytics solutions. Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing to ensure quality and reliability. Apply statistical analysis, regression, classification, clustering, and time series forecasting techniques on structured and unstructured data. Develop machine learning models using Python or R to derive insights and support business use cases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable recommendations. Create visualizations and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib to communicate findings clearly. Contribute to the exploration of NLP and text analytics projects, including sentiment analysis and topic modeling. Learn and adapt to emerging technologies in AI, data engineering, and cloud platforms. Mandatory skill sets: Basic programming skills in Python and/or R, with a strong interest in data science and analytics. Understanding of fundamental statistics, probability, and machine learning concepts. Exposure to data manipulation and analysis using libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn. Good knowledge of SQL for data querying. Familiarity with data visualization tools/frameworks like Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, or seaborn. Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred skill sets: Internship or academic projects demonstrating the application of machine learning or data analysis. Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies. Knowledge of NLP fundamentals and libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, or Hugging Face Transformers. Awareness of version control systems like Git. Years of experience required: Freshers / 0 - 1 Year Education qualification: BE, <B.Tech>, MCA, MSc (Data Science/Statistics/Mathematics), <M.Tech>
