About The Role
SUMMARY This role is responsible for leading and optimizing supply chain and warehouse processes while driving strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. The position serves as a subject matter expert for supply chain and warehouse operations, partnering with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to improve performance, standardize processes, and ensure adherence to operational best practices. The role provides business insight, analysis, reporting, and project leadership to support operational effectiveness, service, cost, quality, and inventory objectives. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining data, metrics, and reporting tools to identify trends, measure performance, and recommend process improvements. Working across functions and levels of the organization, this individual leads complex projects, coordinates implementation efforts, and identifies solutions to operational challenges within warehousing, transportation, logistics, and supplier relationships. This position is highly leveraged throughout Supply Chain Management and serves as a trusted resource for data driven decision making, process optimization, and project execution. Success in this role requires strong project management, problem solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Effectively and accurately, prepare, analyze, review, and present analysis of projects and metrics. Identification and project management for the implementation of productivity improvement projects. Leadership on company and Corporate Logistics initiatives. Develop and maintain shipment data files to support productivity and Metric analysis. Executes daily tactical tasks, and relate strategic initiatives/goals to the team. Take the initiative and be responsible for the identification, development and implementation of programs and productivity improvements which support total customer satisfaction (internal and external), and team financial objectives. Communicates with various divisions and sites to trouble shoot inbound and outbound, logistics related opportunities. Analyzes freight costs and volume to justify changes to the business (shipping days, OF plans, etc.). Maintains data on measurable objectives and reports to management. Works closely with supply chain on inbound raw material moves (both private fleet and LTL). Required to review and find new opportunities. Collects, reviews, and publishes the necessary data, to support business recommendations. Works with IT to identify and trouble shoot systems related issues impacting logistics. Works closely with load planning as needed and has an understanding of shipping systems for load planning and/or data collecting. Supervise/Direct/Dispatch a fleet of 14 trucks and team emphasizing safety, customer service and DOT compliance. Must understand DOT standards relating to drivers hours of service. Sustain Driver relationships that result in their overall satisfaction while promoting safety goals. Fill in as necessary for Fleet Dispatcher. Leadership abilities, critical and analytical thinking, business insights, and interpersonal skills will be key in this position. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervision of the Pella Private Fleet Dispatcher and the Private Fleet Drivers (18)

Concentration in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain is desired. -1-3 years of work history as an analyst. -1-3 years experience in managing others. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with and apply general mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical and load planning situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability for cognitive analysis of business metrics and trends applying internal and external forces in order to develop and recommend solutions and exercising good judgment. Demonstrate critical thinking to solve problems and seasoned judgment when handling escalated issues with leadership, consignees/customers/vendor partners (external communication). Have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. COMPUTER SKILLS Intermediate to advanced proficiency skill and knowledge of Microsoft applications: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Power Point. Base knowledge of Pella order fulfillment systems, Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), is a plus. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None required.
