About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and other metals as required.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
  • Prepare, align, and fit metal components prior to welding.
  • Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting tools, and other fabrication machinery safely.
  • Carry out basic fabrication tasks, including measuring, marking, cutting, and assembling metal components.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
  • Identify and report defects or quality issues.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication environment.
  • Proficient in MIG welding techniques with the ability to produce high-quality welds.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • Experience using measuring equipment and fabrication tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks.
  • Relevant welding certification is an advantage.
