Description

Royal Ocean Marine is looking for a highly skilled Procurement Manager specializing in offshore shipping to join our client's dynamic team. The Procurement Manager will lead all procurement activities related to offshore shipping projects, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, supplier management, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent negotiation skills, and comprehensive knowledge of the offshore shipping sector.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies to support offshore shipping operations.
Manage and coordinate the end-to-end procurement process including sourcing, tendering, contracting, and supplier selection.
Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to optimize cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to understand procurement needs and specifications.
Monitor market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Lead and mentor the procurement team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in offshore shipping or maritime industry.
Proven track record in contract negotiation and supplier management.
Strong knowledge of offshore shipping operations, equipment, and materials.
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel as required.
