About The Role

Purpose

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees, while also providing payroll enquiries and administrative support. This is a 6-month fixed term role suitable for someone looking to begin their career within the finance industry. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Input and maintain accurate timesheet data.
  • Process payroll journals and ensure information is entered correctly.
  • Learn the weekly payroll process to provide cross-cover when required.
  • Check payroll data and highlight any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records.
  • Assist with payroll queries and general payroll administration.
  • Support payroll reconciliations and reporting.
  • Liaise with HR and Finance teams when required.
  • Handle payroll information confidentially.
  • Complete payroll tasks accurately and within agreed deadlines.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • Is comfortable working with numbers and handling data accurately.
  • Has good Excel and general computer skills.
  • Can work to deadlines and manage their workload effectively.
  • Has a positive and reliable approach to work.
  • Is willing to learn and develop their payroll knowledge.
  • Can maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee information.
  • Works well as part of a team and is happy to provide support when required.
