At Field Nation, financial accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence are foundational to scaling our marketplace. The Senior Accountant is crucial to ensuring that the company’s books are accurate, compliant, and closed on time.

This position reports to the Assistant Controller and is based in Minneapolis, MN. Remote candidates with the right skillset will also be considered.

What you'll get to do

Lead month-end close activities, including GL reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis to identify trends and insights.
Support core accounting operations, including purchase-to-pay, commissions processing through Captivate IQ, and partnership with People Ops.
Support external audit and tax activities by gathering documentation, responding to inquiries, and coordinating with the tax team.
Drive continuous improvement across accounting processes, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and stronger reconciliations.

You might be a good fit if you have

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA preferred (active or inactive).
3 - 5 years progressive accounting/finance experience, in a SaaS, marketplace, or PE-backed company.
Experience with ERP and financial systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).
Proven ability to adapt to fast growth and system/process change
Expert knowledge of Excel.
Proven ability to think critically and demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, including with offshore accounting teams.
Excellent attention to detail while maintaining a view of the big picture.
