You will be responsible for completing remote, online notarizations for our United States–based website users and providing feedback to help improve our platform. While we also serve Canadian customers, this position is dedicated to supporting our U.S. users. This is an independent contractor role, performed remotely. This role requires some weekend availability, with hours from 1-6pm on weekdays and 9am-6pm on weekends. Compensation ranges from $5.00–8.00 for the first notarial act and $2.00–4.00 for each additional act. We also offer Notaries the opportunity to serve as witnesses, earning them $5.00 for each completed session.Primary Responsibilities:Complete the notarization of customer documentsVerify the authenticity of important documents while working remotelyExplain the notarization process to customers and provide a professional, responsive experienceReview and verify signer identity per the commissioning state's requirementsConfirm the signer understands the document and is signing willinglyReview documents for completeness and correct certificate wordingAdminister acknowledgement and jurat notarial actsRecord each notarization in a digital notary journal as required by state lawCertify the authenticity of signatures on important legal documentsServe as a witness for other notaries' sessions when required and availableSupport product quality by testing features and reporting bugs and improvement ideas to the notary teamManage customer communication through our internal account portalMaintaining certification as mandated by stateAssist with testing and quality assurance, when neededKnowledge and Skill Requirements:More than 6 months of experience in a Remote Online Notary Public role, handling confidential and private customer documentsValid Electronic Notary Public certification in VirginiaCommissioned Notary Public in VirginiaStrong attention to detailEffective verbal and written communication skillsTechnically savvy – ability to learn internal tools and new softwareDependable attendance and punctuality.Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to resolve standard document issues with minimal assistanceMust have minimum $25,000 error and omission insurance coverage (E&O)Must have a working desktop computer/ laptop, webcam, microphone, and high-speed internet connectionHow to Apply:Apply for this job here or submit your application through our Careers page at <https://www.lawdepot.com/career/?loc=US.We> thank all applicants; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.#LI-DNI
