About The Role
Location: Must Be Based In Ontario or British Columbia near Burnaby. This a Remote based position with expectations to travel onsite to lab locations. Position Summary The Regional Quality Manager supports the role of the Regional Director Quality Assurance NA and provides leadership, direction and support to the facilities within their regional organization in assuring constant improvement and maintenance/consistency in quality systems management, service processes, technology, and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Regional Director Quality Assurance for NA and working in conjunction with the other members of the Quality Team, the incumbent establishes policies and goals in the region related to the North American quality systems orientation. They also ensure implementation of North American standard operating procedures, best practices, laboratory operating systems and special projects, contributing with suggestions and feedback. Main activities: ● Ensure implementation of the NA quality system across all facilities within their region; ● Where necessary attend audits by Key clients on relevant facilities; ● Ensure the quality standard/level within the regions meets both our company values/mission plus our client’s needs; ● Write/review North American SOP; ● Assist in the managing of Audit Schedules for facilities within their defined region ○ Including developing audit schedule and communication with regulatory body ○ Undertake quality system audits or other audits as directed; ● Manage membership/registration of regulatory bodies, e.g. FDA ● Have oversight of KQSI for their facilities; ● Have familiarity SCC and CFIA requirements ● Have oversight of PT and PCS data to ensure NC are closed out and all relevant data reported as per corporate guidelines; ● Provide support to facilities including assistance/guidance in customer complaints investigations and NC in general; ● Provide guidance on response to regulatory audits as required; ● Train staff on north American SOP and like as required; ● Initiate work stoppage if required; ● Participate in relevant business/scientific organizations; ● Communicate with all customers in open honest manner maintaining a polite/diplomatic strong appearance while maintaining full confidentiality at all times; ● Provide direction to the employees and activities of the Quality Assurance department; ● Identify, implement and monitor elements of quality systems to ensure consistency of practices. ● Develop, collect, analyze and report quality system metrics and work with leaders to provide Quality system improvement strategies for all services; ● Assist in establishing goals for quality performance throughout the organization that promote company objectives. ○ Provide status updates on the progress of the quality systems. ○ Manage the annual management review process; ● Provide direction to management to ensure that quality systems are performing as designed and interact with the North American community by sharing knowledge, proven practices and other communications as appropriate; ● Provide guidance and expertise to customers and staff to understand and solve quality system problems and issues; ● Assist in the collection and creation of documentation for Requests for Quotation as requested by the Sales and Marketing departments; ● Manage the completion of customer surveys and requests for information from customers; ● Maintain professional expertise through available literature and contributing to industry publications and presentations; ● This position may share responsibility for safety programs, which may include auditing and monitoring safety systems, providing employee education, and ensuring compliance with regulations; ● Perform other related duties as needed At any time, the incumbent must behave and operate in an ethical and Code of Conduct compliant manner.
