About The Role
Develop optical geometries of headlamp components such as reflectors, blinds, lenses and diffusing lenses Plan and carry out lighting technology related measurements. Analyze the results with respect to legal, operational, safety and quality-related specifications Module 3: Job Profile Education: Language skills: Technical college entrance qualification English, good knowledge Vocational training / professional experience: Job-related experience: Graduate engineer (technical college) in physical engineering Up to three years Additional knowledge/skills: Product development lighting technology CAD/CAM Measuring and testing technology Standardization Programming graphic data processing 2 Calculate optical geometries of headlamp components for series development and series-related predevelopment, using common lighting technology related simulation technology; evaluate and submit the results to Design and/or other internal and external departments and derive possible design-related measures 3 Involvement in the new or advanced development of reflector technologies in cooperation with those responsible 4 Assist with the development and evaluation of software programs for lighting technology related calculations in collaboration with internal and external departments; test and evaluate new programs in consultation with internal departments 5 Advising the organizational units affected with regard to the use of optical components, as well as the design of free-form areas for headlamps 6 Arranging and/or involvement in the preparation of light samples, photometric components and prototypes in agreement with the superior and the posts involved 7 Assist in the development of new light sources in consultation with the responsible departments and in collaboration with suppliers B Planning, measuring, analyzing 1 Accept or put together the headlamp components required, including the necessary documents; check the components and prepare them for inspection 2 Set up complex experiment designs, possibly adapting existing experiment and test facilities 3 Carry out or arrange extensive photometric investigations, following selection of the suitable methods and processes; record, check and present the results 4 Carry out studies on temperature behavior of equipment for the testing and experimenting laboratory 4 Analyze and interpret the results based on the required values. Possibly identify causes of faults and propose possible solutions in collaboration with departments involved 5 Analyze and qualify optical materials and surfaces using self-developed test methods and procedures
