About The Role
Job Summary The Assembly Line Supervisor - Bottom Panel & Battery Box is responsible for overseeing assembly operations of Bottom Panels and Battery Boxes while ensuring production schedules, quality requirements, and operational efficiency targets are achieved. The role involves shift planning, material coordination, manpower management, production execution, housekeeping maintenance, and ensuring completed assemblies are offered to Quality Inspection for final approval. Key Responsibilities Shift Planning & Coordination Execute production activities as per the previous shift's handover and production plan. Prepare and communicate material and production requirements for the upcoming shift. Ensure seamless shift handover with proper documentation of pending activities and production status. Coordinate with Planning, Stores, and Production teams to ensure material readiness. Production Operations Supervise Bottom Panel and Battery Box assembly activities. Ensure all necessary materials, tools, fixtures, and equipment are available before production starts. Allocate manpower to various stations based on workload and production targets. Monitor assembly progress and ensure adherence to production schedules. Quality Assurance Ensure products are assembled according to approved drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Conduct routine in-process inspections and support final quality verification. Offer completed Bottom Panels and Battery Boxes to Quality Inspection on time. Monitor defects, rework, and process deviations and implement corrective actions. Efficiency & Productivity Management Track line performance, productivity, and manpower utilization. Maintain target line efficiency and throughput. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cycle time reduction. Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and productivity enhancement initiatives. Housekeeping & Safety Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards within the production area. Ensure safe working practices are followed by all operators. Promote proper material handling and workplace discipline. Documentation & Reporting Maintain shift production records and handover reports. Monitor production performance against targets. Report production issues, shortages, and bottlenecks to management. Position-Specific Requirements Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering. 3-8 years of experience in assembly operations, battery box manufacturing, panel assembly, or industrial equipment manufacturing. Experience in shift planning, production supervision, and manpower management. Strong understanding of assembly processes, material flow, and production scheduling. Knowledge of quality inspection requirements and production documentation. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices. Ability to coordinate with Stores, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance departments. Working knowledge of ERP/SAP systems and production reporting.
