Social Media Editor and Producer - International Multimedia Journalist III

About The Role
Description· Develop, implement, and manage social media content strategies aligned with broadcasting and organizational goals.
- Create, edit, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging digital channels.
- Collaborate with producers, editors, reporters, and communications teams to promote broadcast programming, special events, and organizational initiatives.
- Manage social media calendars and ensure timely delivery of content to support news, programming, and audience engagement objectives.
- Monitor social media trends, audience interests, and platform developments to identify opportunities for increased reach and engagement.
- Adapts and/or translates content produced in English into native language, as assigned
- Versions content produced in native language into English for distribution, as assigned
- Participates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or tv programs and/or web and social media sections, as assigned
- Contributes to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assigned
- As assigned, edits and approves copy and content prepared or written by others for broadcast and/or publication for inclusion in his/her assigned stories
- Contributes finished products meeting standards to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material and static and motion graphics, as assigned
- Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as needed
- Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines
- Makes suggestions about policy and workflow improvements
- Works independently or as a member of a team
- Fluency in target language (Korean) (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus the ability to adapt stories into English as assigned, within the time assigned
- Logs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOA’s digital asset management system
- Other related duties as assigned
