This is technical support work involving the evaluation, installation, operation, repair and preventive maintenance of desktop computers, computer systems and desktop applications. The work requires knowledge of techniques, methods, and procedures used in the installation and maintenance of personal computer hardware and software applications and the ability to provide on site training when needed which is acquired through a combination of training and on the job experience. Contacts require skills in understanding and influencing people which are important in providing client services and resolving system operational problems.
