- What you'll do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software applications using C++ and Qt.
- Develop and enhance graphical user interfaces using Qt/QML or Qt Widgets for operator-facing systems.
- Work with Linux-based platforms to support software integration, configuration, debugging, and deployment.
- Collaborate with software, systems, test, and integration teams to deliver reliable functionality across complex hardware and software environments.
- Troubleshoot software issues related to UI behaviour, system performance, communication interfaces, and platform integration.
- Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, testing activities, and release preparation.
- Support integration and validation activities, including debugging issues found during lab testing, system testing, or customer acceptance testing.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to software design, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- What you'll need to get the job done
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant software development experience, including hands-on experience with C++ in embedded, Linux-based, or device-focused environments.
- Strong experience developing graphical user interfaces using Qt.
- Experience working with Linux or Unix-based operating systems, preferably including software integration, debugging, and configuration.
- Good understanding of software development practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary technical environment.
What will make us REALLY love you
- Experience with modern C++ standards such as C++14, C++17, C++20, or newer.
- Experience developing software for safety-critical, mission-critical, regulated, or high-reliability environments.
- Familiarity with networked or communications systems, including protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SIP, RTP, SNMP, or similar.
- Experience with Qt/QML, Qt Widgets, model-view architecture, or cross-platform GUI development.
- Experience with system integration, acceptance testing, troubleshooting, or deployment in lab or customer environments.
