HPC Software Engineer Intern [IDA: 00053]

About The Role

Candidate will work on a next-generation Automotive High Performance Computing (HPC) project, supporting software validation and testing activities to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of advanced in-vehicle software systems.

What you'll do

+ Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of software test benches and test environments

+ Develop, execute, and maintain software test cases based on system and software requirements

+ Create and enhance test scripts to improve test coverage and efficiency

+ Support test automation development using industry-standard tools and frameworks

+ Perform test execution, analyze results, and assist in defect investigation and reporting

+ Support requirements-to-test traceability to ensure complete verification coverage

+ Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, and test engineers to ensure software quality and compliance

+ Assist in preparing test reports, validation documentation, and project deliverables

What you'll learn

+ End-to-end software validation and testing processes in real automotive projects

+ How automotive HPC systems are developed, integrated, and validated

+ Test automation techniques and best practices used in large-scale software projects

+ Requirements traceability and its role in software quality assurance

+ Exposure to automotive development standards and processes

+ Diploma or undergraduate students in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields

+ Interest in software testing, quality assurance, or automotive software development

+ Basic programming knowledge in Python, C/C++, or similar languages

+ Familiarity with software development and debugging concepts is an advantage

+ Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

+ Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

 

  • Comfortable with at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript (Node.js), or Java.
  • Curious about AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), with basic awareness of how they are used in real-world applications.
  • Interest in modern AI approaches, including simple agentic concepts like using tools, retrieving information, and solving tasks in small steps.
  • Basic understanding of software and web concepts such as APIs and how applications communicate over the internet (for example, HTTP or REST).
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, ask questions, and improve through hands-on work.
  • Good problem-solving attitude and the ability to work independently with guidance from mentors.

Good to Have (Not Mandatory)

  • Exposure to Docker, cloud platforms, or Databricks through coursework, projects, or internships.
  • Any familiarity with automation tools such as UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate.
