Automation Engineer * 3

Duties & Responsibilities Conduct the in-house automation and test equipment development, including hardware circuit design (PCBA), mechanical design, control software programming, GR&R, and verification. Source and determine good automation and test solution from external suppliers, be responsible for managing the suppliers’ development process and introducing on the production line. Provide expert knowledge for product and process design & improvements from automation view, support other teams to do continuous improvements and NPI implementations. Qualification & Requirements ● BS in electrical, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering ● 3+ years of manufacturing experience with a focus on automation and testing ● Familiar with the hardware circuit (PCBA) design and layout ● Familiar with the embedded programming for mcu chips ● Familiar with the test instruments, communication protocols & data management ● Familiar with the mechanical structure design and drawing, such as Solidworks ● Familiar with the electric design and PLC application ● Familiar with the robotics and motion control ● Familiar with the Automated Optical Inspection and Machine Learning / Deep Learning ● Familiar with the automation machine development process, including solution review, progress monitor, supplier sourcing and control, verification and implementation ● Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously ● Ability in problem analysis and resolution ● Successful experience in design & implementation of automated/testing processes & equipment ● Better in having ability of C# / LabView or Machine Vision programming ● Better in having manufacturing experience in fiber optics, semiconductor Culture Commitment Ensure adherence to company’s values (ICARE) in all aspects of your position at Coherent Corp.: I ntegrity – Create an Environment of Trust C ollaboration – Innovate Through the Sharing of Ideas A ccountability – Own the Process and the Outcome R espect – Recognize the Value in Everyone E nthusiasm – Find a Sense of Purpose in Work
