Job Summary

Our Co-Ops/Interns receive top-notch applicable training in their focused area of study and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment that will challenge and grow them every step of the way!

These skills will be used to

  • Participate in the daily production that is being done by the team.
  • Learn how to perform a job estimate and operate our systems.
  • Compare live estimates with a comparable job, reviewing all quantities and resources. Provides Job Comparable Reports showing variances
  • Draft floorplans using AutoCad.
  • Demonstrate creativity by finding new and/or better solutions, within Fischer Homes guidelines, to new or recurring problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related fields.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Physical demands and work environment

Must be able to use sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) to effectively communicate and interact with other Associates and customers.

Must be able to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills (i.e. typing, writing) to operate office supplies (i.e. computer, calculator, copier).

Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-25lbs unassisted.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time with low periods of reaching and standing.
