This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Remote Estimator (Demolition) based in Brazil.

This is a full-time remote opportunity for an experienced estimator supporting U.S. demolition and construction <projects.You>’ll take ownership of accurate quantity takeoffs, estimates, bids, and cost breakdowns from project documents.The role combines technical estimating with vendor coordination and pre-construction <support.You>’ll work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and keep bids competitive and complete.Strong attention to demolition-specific costs, including labor, equipment, hauling, disposal, and site conditions, is essential.The environment is lean and practical, with a strong emphasis on independent execution, organization, and clear communication.This role is ideal for someone who brings hands-on U.S. demolition estimating experience and can work effectively with minimal supervision.

Accountabilities

  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for U.S. demolition projects and translate project requirements into accurate estimates.
  • Prepare bids, cost breakdowns, and pricing information while accounting for demolition-specific labor, equipment, hauling, disposal, and subcontractor costs.
  • Review construction plans, drawings, specifications, scopes, and other bid documents to identify project requirements and potential cost considerations.
  • Process RFIs, submittals, revisions, bid updates, and related estimating documentation.
  • Contact vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive and reliable pricing for materials, services, equipment, hauling, and disposal.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and support pre-construction activities to ensure estimates are complete and aligned with project requirements.
  • Track bids, costs, and estimating information using Excel and QuickBooks.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date estimating records and documentation.
  • Provide general operational and administrative support related to demolition bidding and pre-construction activities.
  • Manage estimating priorities independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically in U.S. demolition estimating; direct demolition experience is strongly preferred over general construction estimating.
  • Strong understanding of demolition scopes, quantities, labor requirements, equipment, hauling, disposal, site conditions, and subcontractor/vendor pricing.
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, scopes, and bid documents.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, assess project requirements, and solve estimating challenges effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple estimating tasks and deadlines.
  • Availability to work 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time, 40 hours per week.
