The team’s sole paralegal will have primary responsibility for investigation and response to escalated pre-litigation disputes. The position is fully remote, and will report to the SVP, Associate General Counsel of Angi. This role offers the opportunity to join the Legal team in a highly impactful, highly visible role.Responsibilities:PRE-LITIGATION DISPUTES AND REGULATORY INQUIRIESInvestigate and draft responses to escalated consumer complaints, including complaints filed with state attorneys general and complaints escalated to a consumer’s counselInvestigate and draft responses to regulatory inquiries, including letters from state departments of labor and construction boardsDraft, maintain, and manage templates for escalated dispute lettersDevelop and maintain processes and policies for managing escalated disputes in partnership with in-house counsel and the rest of the legal teamMaintain electronic records of pre-litigation disputes and regulatory matters within Angi’s matter management systemLITIGATION MATTERSAssist with fact investigation to support ongoing litigation and intellectual property issuesPrepare and maintain electronic data for document production in litigationMaintain electronic records of ongoing litigation within Angi’s matter management systemQualifications:Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, paralegal certification, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience7+ years’ experience as paralegal supporting litigation or dispute resolution requiredWorking knowledge of state and federal litigation procedureWorking knowledge of standard contractual language, including terms and conditionsPrior experience working in-house and/or at a law firm preferredMust be able to communicate to cross-functional management in concise, easily understood termsAbility to handle confidential data with appropriate discretionCuriosity and willingness to learn and incorporate AI tools into daily legal work, such as using AI-assisted research, document review, or drafting tools to improve efficiency and accuracyTop notch organizational skills; Proven ability to manage and meet reporting deadlines with quality, speed and accuracyStrong work ethic and sense of accountability and integritySolid customer service focus and ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams across the organizationSelf-starter, with a demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues, independently resolve problems and drive projects to completionA creative problem solver who is comfortable with embracing and adopting new technology to assist with making work efficient and effectiveCompensation & Benefits:The base salary band for this position ranges from $75,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience and performance.
