About The Role
Psychiatric nurse is responsible for providing care to patients and their families in relation to their mental and medical health.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collaborating with the patient and multidisciplinary team on psychiatric intervention plans for patients.
- Building relationships with patients and their families to understand the holistic needs whilst maintaining trust with the patient.
- Provide evidence-based individual therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy for depression and anxiety.
- Administering medication where required.
- Monitoring patient’s adherence to any non-medical treatment plans provided.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and family.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Attend training to acquire further knowledge.
- Collect and record data on patient behavior, health journeys acting on any alterations needed in treatment plans.
- Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features for patients.
- Support patients in the management of their emotions, i.e using de-escalation techniques.
- Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of clients, patients, parents, and staff.

- Degree in mental health / behavioural health or equivalent with 5 Years post qualification experience
- Currently licensed as a mental health nurse or equivalent
- Key Skills: 
- Excellent communication skills 
- Excellent IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems 
- Fluency in English and Ukraine
Essential Capabilities: 
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under high-stress work conditions 
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplined team, with clinical and non-clinical personnel
