HGV Mechanic

Your primary role will be to maintain, service, and repair our fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections, servicing, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles to ensure operational safety.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment and resolve faults efficiently.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks including brake, tire, and fluid checks.
• Maintain clear and detailed maintenance records for all vehicles serviced.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet deadlines and manage workloads effectively.
• Stay updated with industry standards, vehicle technologies, and health and safety practices.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Professional qualification or completed apprenticeship in HGV Mechanic or vehicle repair.
• Demonstrable experience working as an HGV Mechanic, preferably within a fleet environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment related to heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid UK driving license and certifications applicable to HGV maintenance and repair.
