DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
- Greensboro College invites applications for the position of Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach. This is a part-time
- position with opportunities for professional growth and expanded responsibilities. The successful candidate will
- assist the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach in all aspects of operating a competitive NCAA men's lacrosse program
- and demonstrate a strong commitment to student-athlete development, recruiting, and the mission of collegiate
- athletics.
- Greensboro College is a private liberal arts institution located in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina, serving
- approximately 1,000 students. The College is a member of the USA South Athletic Conference.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Operations
- Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of managing and operating the men's lacrosse program.
- Develop and implement practice plans, drills, offensive and defensive schemes, and game strategies.
- Assist with opponent scouting, film breakdown, and game preparation.
- Coordinate and help develop youth camps and clinics.
- Assist with gameday and event operations in collaboration with athletic department staff.
- Support the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes.
- Manage the men's lacrosse equipment inventory and distribution.
- Assist with team travel planning and logistics.
Recruiting
- Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes
- Travel to high school games, showcases, and tournaments throughout the recruiting calendar.
- Assist with maintaining recruiting databases and coordinating recruiting efforts with the Admissions Office.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with athletic department game management responsibilities during the lacrosse offseason.
- Support the management and growth of the men's lacrosse social media presence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Department
QualificationsSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution is required
- One to three years of lacrosse coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A genuine desire to build a long-term career in collegiate coaching and athletic
- Demonstrated commitment to the development of student athletes both on and off the field.
