About The Role
DescriptionJob Purpose
- The Behavioral Tech II is responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with behavioral health needs. This role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment. The position requires a compassionate and professional approach to assist clients in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision to clients in accordance with their individualized treatment plans.
- Assist in the development and implementation of therapeutic activities and interventions.
- Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any significant changes in condition.
- Support clients in daily living activities, promoting independence and self-care.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to assess client needs and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions and treatment planning.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, ensuring the well-being of clients.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions with clients and staff.
QualificationsRequired Education
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Required Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience in direct patient care or support roles within mental health facilities.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and electronic health record systems.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in patient care.
- Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
