BH Technician

QualificationsThe Behavioral Health Technician must

• Provide supervision of residents in housing environment, assuring resident compliance with facility rules and procedures
• Provide supervision of residents when off grounds
• Supervise visitations of residents and significant others
• Supervise, monitor, document resident self-medication
• Assist residents with development of daily living skills
• Document facility and resident activity in compliance with agency policy
• Interact with residents in a professional manner
• Demonstrate cultural competency with consumer population
• Provide security for residents and facility
• Perform light housekeeping and safety tasks
• Work collaboratively with other staff
• Provide/schedule transportation for residents and activities

Secondary functions are duties, skills and attitudes that are not exclusive to this position and may be performed by other positions. Secondary functions are performed for the overall operation of sober housing and the agency.

Qualification/Requirements

High School Diploma/GED

• CDCA required
• Prior work experience in chemical dependency/12 Step Recovery preferred
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely records

CPR/First Aid Certification

• Valid Ohio Driver’s License and insurability
• All credential/background checks free of disqualifying offenses
