InAlliance is seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individuals to join our team as Employment Training Specialists (ETS). In this role, you will provide personalized support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of community settings, including job sites, volunteer opportunities, recreational activities, and other meaningful community experiences. You'll play an integral role in promoting independence, building confidence, and empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals while becoming active, valued members of their communities.

Essential Functions*

  • Support individuals in participating in community-based activities, including employment, volunteering, recreation, and social engagements.
  • Assist individuals at job sites by providing on-the-job training, ensuring they understand and perform their tasks effectively, and helping them build workplace skills.
  • Work with individuals to develop and enhance life skills, such as communication, social interaction, problem-solving, and daily living activities.
  • Ensure the safety of individuals in all community settings, advocate for their needs and rights, and assist them in navigating challenges.
  • Provide assistance with personal care tasks as needed, which may include hygiene and mobility support.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, case notes, and any incidents, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with family members, supervisors, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Safely transport individuals to and from community activities, job sites, and appointments as needed.
  • Implement positive behavioral interventions and strategies to manage challenging behaviors in a respectful and effective manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

QualificationsRequired Education and Experience

High School Diploma

Experience

  • At least two years of direct instructional experience with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), preferably in an inclusive and integrated setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Preferred Education and Experience

Education

AA Degree in a related field or other related certification

CPR/First Aid Certification

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training

Additional eligibility requirements

Must be able to verify employment eligibility under USCIS I-9 requirements

After a conditional job offer has been made, a pre-employment screening will be required. InAlliance will consider qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local "Fair Chance" laws.

CA Driver License

Auto Insurance

  • CPR/First Aid Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Must complete 40 hours of provided Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training within 12 months of hire.
  • Physical ability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks.
