Industrial Electronics Technician

About The Role
We are looking for a skilled Industrial Electronics Technician responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining electronic systems and industrial control equipment. The role requires strong hands-on experience with electronic circuits, instrumentation, control systems, and industrial electrical/electronic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electronic equipment and control systems.
- Diagnose faults in electronic circuits, PLC systems, sensors, controllers, transmitters, and related equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic and instrumentation systems.
- Read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Test electronic components using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Calibrate and maintain sensors, transmitters, controllers, and other measurement devices.
- Troubleshoot PLC I/O systems, control panels, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial automation equipment.
- Identify faulty components and perform component-level or board-level repairs where applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
- Support installation and commissioning of new electronic and control equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable safety procedures, technical standards, and site requirements.
- Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, maintenance, and operations teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Maintain tools, test equipment, spare parts, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering , or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Industrial Electronics Technician, Electronics Technician, Instrument Technician, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial electronic and control systems.
- Good knowledge of electronic components, circuits, sensors, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Experience with PLC systems, VFDs, control panels, and industrial automation is preferred.
- Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience using electronic testing and diagnostic instruments.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of industrial safety procedures.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, power generation, or other industrial environments is preferred.
