Trust Management Lawyer

We are looking for an A-Player to join our UK Private Client Trust Management team, servicing our UK law firm clients. You will generate fees by managing a varied caseload of trust matters. You must be an excellent communicator, proactive, empathetic, tech savvy, and pay attention to detail, to create a Brilliant client experience.

Key Responsibilities

•

Generate fees by managing a varied caseload of trust matters.

•

Prepare deeds of appointment, deeds of retirement, trustee minutes and related documentation.

•

Deliver a Brilliant client experience whilst engaging professionally with beneficiaries, trustees, financial advisors and other third parties, advising them on their duties, powers and obligations under Scots trust law.

•

Handle trust accounting and tax matters, including Trust and Estate Tax Returns, and liaise with HMRC as required for 10 year reporting and Exit Reporting.

•

Ensuring property titles are updated to properly reflect Trustees, via TR1 applications in England and Notice of Titles in Scotland for simply matters, and referring out to third parties for complex instructions.

Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Three (3) years’ trust management experience.
• Case management systems experience.
• Work UK hours and take UK Bank holidays.
