This role plays a key part in ensuring the airport can anticipate disruption, respond decisively when it occurs, and recover quickly and safely across airside, landside, terminal, security and passenger operations.
As Manager, Continuity Planning & Incident Preparedness, you will lead the development and embedding of a single, enterprise‑wide resilience capability. This is a hands‑on role spanning business continuity planning, incident preparedness, training, exercising and continuous improvement, working closely with senior leaders, operational teams and external partners to strengthen how Sydney Airport prepares for and manages disruption.

- Lead Business Impact Assessments and maintain Tier‑1 and Tier‑2 continuity plans aligned to recovery objectives, dependencies and real‑world operations
- Develop and govern a clear, practical suite of SOPs to support disruption activation, continuity and recovery
- Design and deliver training and exercising programs, from executive incident leadership to operational and role‑specific readiness
- Provide advice, coordination and decision support during incidents and disruptions, including facilitation of post‑incident reviews and lessons learned
- Partner with internal stakeholders at multiple levels and various externals
- About you
-
- Demonstrated experience in business continuity, resilience, emergency management or operational risk within aviation, transport, infrastructure or other critical services
- Proven ability to design enterprise frameworks and translate complex risks into simple, executable plans and procedures
- Strong stakeholder manager, able to influence effectively across executive, operational and multi‑agency environments
- Confident leading training, exercises and reviews that drive genuine capability uplift rather than compliance alone
- Calm, structured and decisive when supporting live incidents or high‑pressure situations
- A continuous improvement mindset, with strong attention to detail and confidence using data and reporting to track capability maturity
