About The Role
Eidel is an engineering company specializing in electronics, software, and system design for space and defense applications. Our core areas of expertise include space systems, remote sensing, remote control, and encryption.
As our activities within the space sector continue to grow, we are strengthening our capabilities in space systems engineering and mission design. We are looking for an experienced Space Systems Engineer who wants to contribute to this development and help build an important strategic capability within Eidel.
You will work on challenging space projects, contributing to system design, mission planning, and technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. The role offers a unique opportunity to influence how Eidel develops its space systems engineering capability while working closely with customers, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Requirements management and system engineering throughout the project lifecycle
- Perform system-level analyses and trade-offs across disciplines such as orbit design, attitude control, thermal, structural, propulsion, power, communication, reliability, and radiation
- Develop and maintain technical budgets and system-level documentation
- Support the planning and execution of satellite and space mission projects
- Act as a technical point of contact towards customers and partners
- Contribute to proposal and business development activities
- Support the continued development of Eidel's space systems engineering competence
Desired Background
- MSc or PhD in Space Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in space systems engineering, with a strong understanding of systems engineering methods and processes
- Experience from satellite projects covering significant parts of the project lifecycle (Phase A-F), ideally within a large satellite integrator
- Experience working with commercial and/or institutional customers such as ESA, NASA, or similar organizations
- Familiarity with the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook is an advantage
- Leadership experience as a technical lead, system lead, project manager, or team lead is an advantage
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken

Security Clearance
Applicants must be eligible to obtain security clearance up to SECRET / NATO SECRET.
