Role Overview
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join our expanding European operations team in Vaasa, Finland .
The successful candidate will support the delivery of roofing, cladding and façade packages on major mission-critical construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, clients and subcontractors, you will play a key role in ensuring all works are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with Crown's industry-leading standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Promote and drive a positive health and safety culture across all project teams.
- Ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements and Crown's Health &Safety Management System.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety observations, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Support project teams in planning works safely and identifying potential hazards before work commences.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project-specific health and safety requirements.
- Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, producing reports and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate health and safety documentation and reporting.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and other stakeholders on all health and safety matters.
- Support internal and external audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of Crown's health and safety standards.
- Provide practical advice and guidance to project teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Recognised Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (NEBOSH Diploma desirable).
- Minimum three years' experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within the construction industry.
- Experience working on roofing, cladding, façade, building envelope or large-scale construction projects is desirable.
- Data centre or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of EU and Finnish Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Experience carrying out site inspections, audits, incident investigations and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Willingness to work on a rotational basis.
- Currently based in Europe and eligible to work within the EU.
