Your Job
- We are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team on an ambitious entrepreneurial journey.
- You will be responsible for managing day-to-day Accounting activities to ensure accurate and timely closing of Qover’s books and dealing with a variety of operational queries.
- Activities include both standard Accounting activities and those that are specific to our business model for which you will receive appropriate training.
- You will be expected to be creative in setting up & improving internal processes and implementing new Accounting tools.

Your Responsibilities
Perform daily accounting activities which will include
Injection / booking of our revenues for transactional customers
Booking of bank statements related to risk carriers
Review and reconciliation of payment transactions
Injection / booking of our revenues / customer invoices in our AR tool
Support the creation / data entry / controls related to insurance bordereaux for risk carriers
Manage and support the preparation of monthly Accounting books to ensure timely closing
Ensure all journal entries are supported, properly authorized, and financially accurate so that accounts payable, accounts receivables, accruals, provisions, and other general ledger accounts are correctly set up and reflected in the balance sheet in line with group practices
Handle cash transactions and banking operations
Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of Accounting documents and rules to enable senior level decision making
Support the Head of Finance in forecasting, cash management, and the budgeting process
Create Accounting procedures / processes while implementing new Accounting tools
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- 2 - 6 years of experience in Accounting
- Experience in Insurance Accounting (at an insurance company or a Broker) is a positive
- Knowledge of BE GAAP, IFRS, Belgian Accounting standards, Insurance Accounting standards, as well as tax and accounting principles and legislation
- Comfortable implementing and using new Accounting software
- Detail-oriented, while keeping an eye on the company’s goals and long-term future
- Strong analytical skills
- You speak French or Dutch and can communicate in English
- You enjoy taking responsibility and have a true team spirit. You value trust and honesty above everything else
- You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
