ANA is headquartered in Henderson, Nevada, with locations in Cypress, California, and Spartanburg, South Carolina. ANA is growing and scaling, and we are seeking an Industrial Engineering Technician to join our growing team in an onsite position in Spartanburg, South Carolina. As an Industrial Engineering Technician, you will have the opportunity to support process improvement, production efficiency, and operational performance across manufacturing and production operations through data collection, time studies, workflow analysis, setup of 5S stations, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. This role reports to the Plant Manager.
Role & Responsibilities
Independently conduct time studies, work measurement, workflow analysis, and cycle-time observations to identify process improvements and prepare proposed labor standards for review and approval.
Collect, analyze, and organize production, quality, labor, and process data; prepare KPI reports and dashboards to support operational decision-making.
Support industrial engineers and operations leadership in identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and process improvement opportunities.
Own the development, revision, and maintenance of standard operating procedures, work instructions, Standard Work, process maps, and related manufacturing documentation.
Monitor production processes and recommend improvements that enhance safety, quality, cost, throughput, and material flow.
Lead small, clearly defined Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and waste-reduction projects; track actions and verify implementation results.
Create and maintain workstation, equipment, and facility-layout drawings using CAD software to support material flow, ergonomic improvements, equipment placement, and production readiness.
Work closely with production supervisors, operators, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot production delays, process variation, and workflow issues.
Support pilot and prototype builds by documenting process issues, collecting build data, coordinating corrective actions, and updating manufacturing documentation.
Support the development and maintenance of Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, and Control Plans by providing process observations, production data, and documentation updates under engineering or quality direction.
Train operators on new and revised work instructions, Standard Work, process changes, and approved manufacturing methods; verify understanding and adherence on the production floor.
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Advanced Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.
Being eager to learn, hands-on, and committed to following standards is essential
Two to five years of experience in manufacturing, production, engineering support, process improvement, or a related technical environment preferred.
Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, time studies, Standard Work, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement methods preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, layouts, work instructions, and production data.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for production data analysis and KPI reporting; experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360 preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to stand, walk, and observe production areas for extended periods and follow all required safety practices, including use of personal protective equipment.
