This position is in the Battery Technology Development Team. It will be responsible for electrical testing, mechanical testing, and electro-chemical characterization of Lithium batteries within the test labs. The position will also work closely with other teams (i.e. R&D, Applications, and Qualification) to develop and implement any electrical tests and test procedures to characterize battery performance. The position will be responsible for all facets of the battery testing including development and scheduling of electrical tests, data collection and procedure documentation, interpretation and communication of test results, and maintenance and calibration of all test equipment and meters.

## Description

Develop and implement test protocols to measure and characterize cell properties and electro-chemical performance

Develop and implement process flows for the effective implementation of the protocols

Develop, implement, and document validation methods to ensure the integrity of the lab data

Coordinate characterization data collection

Coordinate the acquisition or in-house design and manufacture of small tools for lab use

Resolve need for and schedule/perform routine maintenance of test equipment and meters

Collect and analyze test data, write-up reports as necessary

Maintain standard operating procedure database

Collaborate with team on necessary deviations in test, detail any procedure changes

Communicate results to engineering team

Refine/Update test procedures and documents

Train and mentor technicians in the operation and upkeep of test equipment and tools

## Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus 2 - 5 years experience with testing various battery technologies

Ability to interpret battery test results and communicate to team

Understanding of test requirements and ability to convert into test protocols

Clear communication (written & verbal) in both English and Mandarin.

## Preferred qualifications

Ability to operate and all testing equipment and tools

Capable of making test choices based on electrochemistry nuances

Able to function and interact in a multilevel team environment

Data management and statistical analysis experience useful

Database experience desired
