## Description

The AirPlay Audio team is looking for an expert developer in media networking technologies and layered system software who, with these skills, will be working to fill our user's lives with immersive audio, pushing the boundaries of media distribution and sonic experiences. You will develop and ship the technologies and features that distribute audio across a rich ecosystem of iPhones, Macs, iPads, HomePods, Apple TVs, and third-party AirPlay speakers — more than a billion devices in all. That scale brings hard and interesting problems; getting many independent speakers to play as one, over Wi-Fi shared with everything else in the home, is just one of them. Working alongside networking, WiFi, and hardware teams, you will push for the most efficient, highest quality distribution possible. You will take ownership of these technologies and features, finding new opportunities for them to enrich our users' experience.

## Minimum qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent

Experience debugging problems in a highly concurrent environment

Experience with congestion control algorithms and techniques

C or C++ - Multithreading and System Software

Low-level systems debugging and performance profiling experience

Ability to independently drive complex end-to-end investigations

## Preferred qualifications

Familiarity with RTP, RTCP, or related real-time media protocols

Experience in audio and other media programming

Experience with using and developing media libraries especially for mobile platforms

Leadership and mentoring experience

Experience with data analytics and visualization tools like Splunk

Experience with network protocols and media transport over IP
