The Sr. Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for complex financial processes which affect numerous positions and roles and will have material financial impact throughout the Company. Significant amounts of time spent will be in the organization and coordination of the budget, forecast and reporting. This position requires a strong analytical, organized business thinker who can resolve complex problems with minimal supervision. Creativity and desire to understand the PR marketplace is important in order to understand the business impacts to the company. This role will/may consult with all levels of management throughout every division and unit in the company, globally. All information received and produced is of a sensitive and confidential nature, so integrity is required.

Preferred Location: New York City, NY or Seattle/Bellevue, WA. While this position may be performed remotely from other U.S. locations, candidates located in the New York City or Seattle/Bellevue areas are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Review monthly financial summaries (standard reports, variance analysis, performance recaps) and discuss financial highlights with business partners

Drive the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting efforts for assigned organizational groups

Help to educate internal partners on the use and interpretation of financial reports, best practices, useful financial techniques and budgeting tools.

Lead and prepare analyses that aid in decision making and improving profitability and margins for the company.

Utilize raw data to perform quantitative analysis in evaluating metric performance, operations results, resource usage and variances

Review individual and consolidated plans (forecasts) for critical analysis and administrative review with manager

With direction from the Director of FP&A, create in-depth, specific and flexible value-added reporting for business leads and senior managers.

Responsible for driving the development of profitability models, contingency planning, process alternatives and variance analysis for assigned organizational groups

Projects encompass application of business and economic assumptions in analysis areas of personnel usage, payroll and fringe benefits, P&L, trending analysis, and cost reduction strategies

Consult with internal partners to make informed decisions that meet Company business plans and financial targets set by management.

Qualifications

Minimum 4-7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, budgeting and forecasting. Heavy emphasis on operational finance and management reporting experience needed. Familiarity with relational databases and cube logic would be very helpful.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate variances, uncover root causes, and recommend practical, data-driven solutions.

Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, synthesize complex data, and develop actionable recommendations for business partners.

Customer service and relationship-building orientation is a must.

Ability to multi-task a must – job requires juggling many competing priorities

Interaction with offices globally requires respect of cultural variances

Fast paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking, etc.)

Proven ability to translate financial information to a non-financial oriented audience is critical

Ability to work independently (self-motivated)

The base annual salary range for this role, applicable across all U.S. locations, is outlined below. The actual salary may vary based on several factors such as business requirements, job responsibilities, skills, experience, and geographical location.Salary Range$81,000—$105,000 USDBenefits
