The Corporate HSE Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. This role oversees and develops HSE team members, promotes a culture of safety and accountability, reduces workplace risks, advances environmental sustainability initiatives, and supports operational excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, self-motivated professional with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, and developing employees. Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations, foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, and make decisions regarding promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Ensure team alignment with organizational goals and support continuous professional growth
Provide team support through guidance, problem-solving, and coverage planning while collaborating with department leaders to coordinate HSE needs
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and industry-specific health, safety, and environmental regulations
Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, supervisors, and contractors
Ensure proper emergency response planning and preparedness training
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in workplace safety or industry or an equivalent combination
3 years of experience within safety role or industry
OSHA 500
- Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven, and an acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team
- CUSP, CHST, or other applicable HSE certifications (desired)
- Certification in root-cause investigation (desired)
- ET&D 10hr and 20hr or Trainer (desired)
