Welder

Specific Role

Welder is a key role in EMIT’s manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for welding parts, according to blueprints and instructions, based on your daily production scheduled expectations.

Key Accountabilities

• Perform welding tasks to meet daily production priorities.
• -
• Prepare and assemble parts with proper fitment, which may involve cutting, bending, and grinding.
• -
• Review blueprints to ensure finished products meet quality specifications.
• -
• Identify and escalate errors or process adjustments to the Team Leader as needed.
• -
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including completing the weekly welder checklist.

Qualifications

• -
• High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification or technical training preferred
• -
• 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment (MIG/TIG/Stick as applicable)
• -
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• -
• Proficient in cutting, bending, and grinding to achieve proper fitment
• -
• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met
• -
• Comfortable escalating errors or process changes to team leadership
• -
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. repeatedly and stand/walk for the duration of a shift
• -
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all PPE and safety requirements
• -
• Self-motivated with the ability to meet daily production expectations

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and moving for the duration of a shift.
• Always use proper PPE when required.
• Follow safety protocols when using tools and handling cleaning materials.

Pay Range

$20 — $42 USD
