soft-seedcom · Pulheim, Germany
About The Role
Your mission L1VE GmbH is a fast-growing media and technology company redefining how the world experiences sports, music, and entertainment. With cutting-edge 12K / 3D / 360° streaming technology and a global premium rights portfolio, we bring live events to life across all major VR platforms. From our lab in Pulheim near Cologne, we develop and run immersive live productions for partners around the world. We are looking for a working student to support our Lab Operations & Technical Support team. In this role, you help make our live productions and streaming setups actually work in practice: from preparing and organizing equipment, to setting up audio/video chains, to supporting live operations during productions. Step by step, you’ll take on more technical and project-related responsibilities and get a real behind-the-scenes view of how modern live productions are run. This role is a great fit if you… enjoy hands-on work with technology (cables, hardware, rigs – not just slides), want to understand how live streaming and VR productions really work, and are looking for a student job where you actually learn something , not just do routine tasks. This is a hybrid role based in Pulheim (near Cologne) with a strong on-site presence required at our lab (3–4 days per week). Please note: The start date for this role is flexible and will be agreed on an individual basis. Your responsibilities Support the preparation, execution, and wrap-up of live productions and streaming events Help coordinate logistics so that equipment, people, and timelines are aligned on production days Work hands-on with audio/video setups and live streaming workflows in our lab Keep equipment, data, and internal processes organized and reliable Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and on-site technical setups Gradually take on more technical and project responsibilities as you learn Your profile Must-haves Enrolled at a university (e.g. in a technical, media, engineering, or business-related field) Strong curiosity for technology (audio/video, streaming, production setups) Structured and reliable working style – you like it when things are organized Class B driving licence Confident communication in English (German is a plus, but not required) Ability to work independently, ask questions, and learn quickly Nice-to-haves You don’t need to tick all of these – they are a plus, not a requirement: First experience with streaming, live production, or media technology Basic understanding of IT systems or networks Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Teams or similar collaboration tools Interest in hands-on technical work (e.g. hardware, DIY tech, 3D printing, electronics) Why us? What we offer A hands-on role in a growing startup where you can shape how things are done Direct exposure to live production, streaming, and technical workflows (not just theory) A steep learning curve instead of repetitive student tasks Responsibility from day one, with support from an experienced team Short decision paths and a very practical, down-to-earth working environment Flexible working hours around your studies Transparent compensation: 14–16 € gross per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Contact person Annette Hansen - Recruiting Manager
