About The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in Industrial IoT (IIoT) product design, development, and testing, specifically for LV (Low Voltage), MV (Medium Voltage), and HV (High Voltage) applications. The role involves leading end-to-end product development, integrating hardware with IoT platforms, managing certifications (UL), and establishing testing laboratories to ensure product reliability, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Product Design & Development (IIoT Focus)
  • Lead the design and development of Industrial IoT-enabled electrical products and systems.
  • Develop hardware for data acquisition, monitoring, and control of LV/MV/HV systems.
  • Integrate sensors, communication modules (Modbus, CAN, Ethernet, RS485, IoT gateways), and embedded systems.
  • Optimize designs for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Conduct

  • product testing, validation, and compliance
  • with relevant standards (IEC, IEEE)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, software, mechanical)

Drive

prototype development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization

Support

  • field deployment and commissioning

  1. Testing & Validation
  • Define and execute validation plans for electrical and IoT-integrated products.
  • Perform functional, environmental, reliability, and high-voltage testing.
  • Develop automated and manual test procedures aligned with UL, IEC, and IEEE standards.
  • Analyze performance data and ensure system robustness under field conditions.
  1. Certification & Compliance
  • Lead UL certification and regulatory approvals for IIoT-enabled electrical products.
  • Ensure compliance with global standards for electrical safety, EMC/EMI, and communication protocols.
  • Interface with certification agencies and manage audits and documentation.
  1. Quality Control (QC)
  • Establish QC processes for both hardware and integrated IoT systems.
  • Implement incoming, in-process, and final inspection standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for field failures and implement corrective actions.
  1. Test Reports & Documentation
  • Prepare comprehensive test reports, validation documents, and compliance records.
  • Maintain documentation for traceability, audits, and customer requirements.
  1. Lab Setup & Management
  • Lead the setup of advanced electrical and IoT testing labs.
  • Define requirements for HV/LV test setups, environmental chambers, EMC testing, and communication testing tools.
  • Ensure lab safety, calibration, and compliance with accreditation standards (e.g., NABL).
  1. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Mentor engineers across electrical, embedded, and IoT domains.
  • Work closely with software, firmware, and data teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Drive technical reviews and design validation processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical product design with exposure to Industrial IoT systems.
  • Strong background in LV/MV/HV electrical systems.
  • BESS or power transmission & distribution systems
  • Hands-on experience with UL certification and compliance processes.
  • Proven experience in setting up and managing testing laboratories.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in electrical design tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, ETAP, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems and hardware-software integration.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA, CAN, Ethernet/IP).
  • Understanding of cloud integration and IoT platforms is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI testing and power electronics fundamentals.
