Position Summary The Assistant Dean for Curriculum, Pre-Clerkship collaborates with the assistant deans in Rockford and Chicago in leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of the pre-clinical curriculum for medical school years one and two (M1 and M2). Duties Responsibilities Provide leadership in the development, implementation, innovation, and evaluation of the undergraduate pre-clinical curriculum by working with department heads/chairs, course directors, staff and individual course faculty. Discuss program evaluation of medical school years one and two (M1 and M2) curriculum with students and faculty to bring about curricular improvement. Serve as liaison on both local and college curriculum committees as a representative of academic affairs Peoria. Collaborate with assistant deans/associate deans locally and across the college to develop and implement policies and procedures regarding the M1/M2 curriculum that are aligned with accreditation standards, guidelines, and educational outcomes. Participate in regional and national presentations and other scholarly activities to highlight the work done on the Peoria campus. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
