About The Role

Group Company: TRIPATRA Designation: QUALITY CONTROLLER – WELDING Office Location: AREA PROJECT PHR JPK REQUIREMENTS Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) or Bachelor's Degree (D4) in any Engineering discipline with at least 6 years of experience, or Diploma (D3) in any Engineering discipline with at least 8 years of experience in engineering, fabrication, construction, or quality control services. Minimum 4 years of experience in Welding Quality Control Inspection on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Civil Construction, Mining, Geothermal, or Power Generation projects. Strong knowledge of welding procedures, fabrication, inspection, and quality control in accordance with applicable international codes and standards, including AWS D1.1, API 1104, ASME Section IX, ASME B31.3, API 620, API 650 , and other relevant standards. Experienced in reviewing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ), weld inspections, and welding documentation. Familiar with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Testing (RT) . Holds a valid Welding Inspection or NDT Level I certification (e.g., MT, PT, UT, or Radiographic Film Interpreter ) issued within the last 5 years by a recognized authority or professional organization. Strong analytical, communication, reporting, and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with Contractors, Engineering, and Construction teams. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform inspections and monitor welding activities for new and existing facilities to ensure compliance with project specifications, Company requirements, and applicable standards (e.g., AWS, API, ASME, ANSI ). Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, welding consumables, and fabrication activities to ensure compliance with approved codes and quality requirements. Witness and validate welding inspections, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and related quality control activities in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards. Work closely with Company representatives and Construction Contractors to ensure welding activities are completed safely and meet project quality requirements. Prepare and maintain routine welding inspection reports, NDT records, and quality documentation, ensuring timely submission to the Company. Ensure Contractors perform welding activities in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), project specifications, and quality requirements. Identify welding defects or non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and monitor their implementation until closure. Report to and support the Lead Quality Controller in monitoring and maintaining quality compliance for welding activities throughout project execution.
