About The Role

Job Description & Summary: Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer with deep expertise in Informatica, ETL development, Change Data Capture (CDC), Data Replication, and Database Development to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate should come from a strong development background with hands-on experience in designing and implementing enterprise data integration solutions. The candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Informatica CDC/Fast Data Access (FDA) solutions for multiple high-volume OLTP databases running across heterogeneous platforms (Linux, AIX, etc.). This role requires ownership of the complete CDC implementation lifecycle—from architecture and installation to performance tuning, optimization, and production support. Job Position Title: IN_Sr. Associate_ Informatica CDC & Data Replication Specialist_AppTech_Advisory_Bengaluru/ Kolkata Responsibilities : Primary Responsibilities · Monitor, tune, and optimize CDC, Data Integration, and replication environments for maximum performance and reliability. · Proficient in Databricks, ADF and Python skills for data integration and pipeline orchestration purposes across large enterprises · Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data integration workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Data Integration, IICS, or other enterprise ETL tools. · Design and implement Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions using Informatica CDC/FDA and integrate them with enterprise ETL pipelines. · Perform end-to-end installation, configuration, setup, administration, and deployment of Informatica CDC/FDA infrastructure from scratch. · Configure and manage CDC environments for multiple high-volume OLTP databases across heterogeneous operating systems (Linux, AIX, etc.). · Develop scalable ETL workflows, mappings, transformations, and reusable components to support real-time and batch data integration. · Implement and manage real-time and batch data replication processes ensuring high availability, data consistency, and minimal impact on source systems. · Develop SQL, PL/SQL, Shell/Python scripts, and automation processes to facilitate efficient CDC, ETL, migration, deployment, and monitoring activities. · Conduct code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of ETL workflows, CDC pipelines, and replication environments. · Identify, analyze, and resolve CDC latency, replication failures, synchronization issues, and production incidents. · Work closely with business analysts, application teams, DBAs, data architects, and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. · Possess a solid understanding of data modeling, metadata management, and enterprise data integration architecture. --- Secondary Responsibilities · Perform root cause analysis and implement performance improvements, configuration tuning, and infrastructure optimization. · Support upgrades, patching, migration, and maintenance activities for Informatica CDC/FDA environments. · Ensure compliance with data governance standards, security policies, and documentation best practices. · Experience with real-time streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis) is desirable. · Mentor junior developers and share best practices on ETL development, CDC implementation, replication technologies, and database design. · Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment. · Strong documentation and technical design skills. Mandatory skill sets: · Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development, data integration, ETL development, and database programming. · Strong development background with hands-on experience building enterprise data integration solutions. · Extensive experience with Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Data Integration, IICS, or equivalent enterprise ETL platforms. · Strong expertise in Change Data Capture (CDC) methodologies, implementation techniques, and real-time data integration. · Hands-on experience implementing Informatica CDC/Fast Data Access (FDA) solutions, including installation, configuration, deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. · Experience with enterprise data replication technologies such as: o Informatica CDC / Fast Data Access (FDA) o Oracle GoldenGate o SharePlex o Qlik Replicate (Attunity) o IBM InfoSphere CDC or similar technologies · Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, Shell Scripting, and database performance tuning. · Experience working with Oracle and other enterprise RDBMS platforms in high-volume OLTP environments. · Experience working on Linux/Unix environments, including AIX. · Strong understanding of database architecture, transaction log-based replication, and performance optimization. · Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize CDC and ETL performance. · Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Preferred skill sets: · Experience implementing CDC solutions for multiple active OLTP databases. · Knowledge of Kafka, cloud-based data integration, and modern data engineering practices. · Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and deployment automation. · Informatica, Oracle, or related technology certifications are an added advantage. Years of experience required: · Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development, data integration, ETL development, and database programming. Education qualification: B.E. / <B.Tech> / MCA/ M.E/ <M.TECH/> MBA/ PGDM. All qualifications should be in regular full-time mode with no extension of course duration due to backlogs.
