Pancevo Job Description About the Team You will be part of a highly skilled maintenance and automation team focused on ensuring the reliability, availability, and continuous improvement of production equipment. The team collaborates closely with production, engineering, and quality departments to support daily operations and drive process optimization. With a strong emphasis on automation and technological innovation, the department plays a key role in maintaining high production standards. Teamwork, proactive problem-solving, and continuous improvement are core values within the group. What you can look forward to as Automation Engineer in Maintenance: Diagnose equipment and automation failures and provide reactive maintenance support to ensure minimal production downtime Develop, modify, and optimize PLC programs (Siemens TIA Portal / Step7; Beckhoff TwinCAT is a plus) for production systems Integrate new functionalities into existing automation systems and ensure reliable communication between machines and components Optimize and adapt machine and process performance in line with operational and quality requirements Work with visual inspection systems and production line control solutions Participate in the introduction and commissioning of new technologies and equipment in cooperation with engineering teams Support continuous improvement initiatives, including TPM, FMEA participation, and process optimization Prepare and maintain technical documentation, support SAP entries, and contribute to internal audits and compliance activities Your Profile as Automation Engineer in Maintenance: Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field – VI–VII level) Minimum 2 years of experience in a production or process-oriented environment (automotive experience is an advantage) Hands-on experience with PLC programming, mainly Siemens (TIA Portal / Step7); Beckhoff (TwinCAT) knowledge is a plus Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently diagnose equipment and automation failures Basic SAP knowledge (notifications, confirmations, and data handling) Analytical and structured approach to problem solving Proficiency in English language Why you should choose ZF in Pančevo?
