Operations Head - Assembly and Paint

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables 1. Lead and manage all operations of Assembly and Paint Shop to achieve production targets with optimal quality and efficiency. 2. Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of tractors as per customer demand. 3. Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO) and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S). 4. Oversee paint shop operations including surface preparation, primer application, topcoat finishing, and quality inspection. 5. Manage assembly line operations including sub-assembly, main assembly, testing, and final inspection of tractors. 6. Drive cost optimization through waste reduction, process improvements, and efficient resource utilization. 7. Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations; promote a culture of safety awareness. 8. Lead, mentor, and develop team members; conduct performance reviews and identify training needs. 9. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Stores, Maintenance, Engineering) for smooth operations. 10. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) - productivity, quality, downtime, and cost metrics. 11. Human resource planning, Training in cordination with ER. 12. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all assembly and paint shop processes. 13. Drive digitalization initiatives and support Industry 4.0 implementation in shop floor operations. 14. Participate in new product development and ensure smooth production ramp-up of new tractor models. Preferred Industries Automobile Tractor Education Qualification Bachelors of Technology in Production Engg.; Bachelors of Technology in Mechanical; Bachelor of Engineering in Production Engg.; Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical; MBA; Bachelors of Technology General Experience 15-20 years of experience in Assembly and Paint Shop operations in manufacturing industry, with minimum 5 years in leadership role managing large teams.
