Job Title: Security/ Part Time Gaurd Job Code: 41153 Job Location: Clifton, NJ Job Schedule: 5/8 Job Description: This is a routine security guard role requiring sound judgment and occasional improvisation to address isolated issues. Responsibilities include safeguarding classified information and ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and visitors on company property. Essential Functions: Perform all duties and assignments of a post until properly relieved. Monitor and respond to all emergency situations in the facility. Submit daily reports on the activity of their posts as well as incident reports, as required. Complete assigned rounds, reporting all employees who damage or misuse company property, or violate safety rules, regulations or other published policies. Report on improperly secured Closed and Restricted Areas. Control physical access to the facility, including: Physically check the ID of all personnel entering the facility and verify authorization for access; Maintain a written log of the time of arrival, time of departure, name, signature, purpose and destination of all visitors, and issue appropriate visitor badge; Administer the temporary badge system for current employees; Prevent any prohibited items from being brought into the facility; Operate and monitor the CCTV, facility card access, burglar, and fire alarm systems. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 or more years’ experience as a security guard Must be able to lift 40 pounds Secret Clearance (preferred). Valid Driver’s License Preferred Additional Skills: Ability to work independently Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of relevant regulations and rules for securing facilities and classified materials In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $22.44.
