Do you enjoy working with equipment, solving mechanical challenges, and seeing the results of your work? Baesman Group is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Equipment Operator to join our production team.
Baesman Group is a print and marketing company that helps leading brands deliver personalized communications and memorable customer experiences. In this role, you will operate a Brausse die cutter and a two-color Heidelberg Speedmaster press used to score and perforate previously printed sheets.
You will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment, maintaining production speeds, monitoring quality, and helping work move efficiently through our production process.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate die-cutting and printing equipment according to job specifications.
- Review job tickets and prepare each job according to its production requirements.
- Operate equipment safely while meeting established quality and productivity standards.
- Inspect work throughout the production process to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic equipment troubleshooting.
- Use measuring devices and tools to make accurate machine adjustments.
- Communicate work priorities, scheduling needs, and job status with team members and management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist in other production departments as needed.
- Follow all company safety rules, policies, and operating procedures.
What Will Help You Succeed
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Experience setting up or operating manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read job instructions and follow written production specifications.
- Ability to use rulers, tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
- Comfort using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous printing, die-cutting, or machine-operation experience is a plus.
