Associate Finance Analyst Location: Lisbon, Portugal Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Finance Analyst to join our dynamic FP&A team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our data management processes, with a specific focus on our software, travel and leasing P&L lines. You will be responsible for developing data-driven insights and preparing our software data to effectively support renewal and purchasing decisions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to develop their skills in financial analysis and data management within a world-leading software company. Responsibilities: Financial Analysis and Reporting: Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather, analyse, and interpret financial data related to software and travel expenditures. Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, highlighting trends, variances, and key performance metrics. Assist in the monthly rolling forecast and budgeting process for executive review. Data Management and Insights: Take ownership of the data management for the software, travel and leasing P&L lines. Develop and maintain financial models to analyse complex financial data and generate actionable insights that guide strategic decision-making. Set up and manage software license data to ensure compliance, optimize usage, and support the renewal and purchasing process. AI Integration & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data management and reporting processes. Actively explore, learn and implement AI tools to improve workflows, simplify existing processes and develop AI-driven solutions for complex challenges. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial data into meaningful insights. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with financial planning software (like Adaptive), data visualization tools (like Power BI or Tableau), and an understanding of SQL are highly desirable. Strong curiosity and eagerness to learn about AI applications in finance. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
