The Opportunity Based in Auckland, and reporting to the Team Leader, the Network Operator / Lining Technician’s primary role is to ensure safe, efficient and quality delivery of trenchless renewals in the three waters network whilst making sure processes and installation SOPs are followed to ensure achievement of Veolia’s and clients outcomes. If you have experience in any of the following: drainlaying, plumbing, wastewater and stormwater networks, operating robotic cutter, CCTV systems, this role could be perfect for you. Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) through assure which covers mental health, nutrition, financial, legal, coaching and career transition support What you'll be responsible for Includes: Onsite delivery of wastewater and stormwater network renewal upgrades. Contribute to the regional based operations team as required. Ensure all fleet and equipment is serviceable and any issues or unserviceability is reported to the construction manager as soon as identified. Comply with the requirements of Veolia New Zealand Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Policy Statements, including participation at local toolbox and health and safety meetings. Report any problems with the business management system, particularly in relation to the management of occupational health and safety, environment and drinking water. Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers. What you'll need to be successful An effective communicator who has the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff at all levels and our clients A self-starter who can work with a high degree of autonomy, personal integrity and a strong work ethic Planning and organisational ability Proven ability to maintain accurate work records Confidence in one's own judgement and capability and has the ability to work under pressure Able to quickly adapt to changing circumstances Good literacy and numeracy skills and is computer literate Willing to complete further training as required Ability and willingness to work out of hours when required Participation of on-call roster Basic Understanding of Health and Safety legislation. Current full driver's licence (preferably with Class 2) Preferred but not essential Traffic Management Working at Heights Confined Space Why Veolia?
