The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise. Your new responsibilities Initiate, co-ordinate and carry out Technical improvement projects to improve process quality, cost and delivery. New Product / technology - Support introduction and phase in of new product & technology from RnD into production. Responsible for process handshake and ensure process readiness for mass production. Accountable and initiate problem solving on chronics issue impacting the daily process engineering sustaining activities including safety and EHS compliance. Lead or coach 8D investigations & problem solving related to quality issues. Train junior engineers in terms of new technology, findings from chronic issue problem solving, continuous improvement initiatives. Support the NPI in terms engineering evaluation and qualification. Responsible for process handshake and ensure process readiness for mass production. If appointed as process technician lead - resources planning, align the priority and coordinate with process engineering DHs & Engineers on daily sustaining activities and engineering evaluation. Responsible to perform training needs analysis (TNA) and development plan for Technician / Operators. What we look for Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science or technical equivalent degree. Minimum 4 years working experience in both manufacturing and engineering, LED assembly procesess and knowledge of tools design especially in Lens Attached processes. Knowledge on overall value stream LEDs or ICs semiconductor production exposure. Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes. Analytical with strong problem-solving skills. Statistical process control knowledge, problem solving skill, 8D and semiconductor processes. English and Bahasa Malaysia are a must, Mandarin literate is also preferred but not compulsory.
